Our Story

Wildflower Cake Company is a home-based cottage bakery that specializes in allergen-friendly, gluten free, vegan (dairy free, egg free), artificial dye free, soy free, tree nut free, peanut free
baked goods and more!

Wildflower Cake Company was founded on the principle that those with food allergies, sensitivities, and/ or aversions should not have to sacrifice dessert. We believe cake should be enjoyed instead of dreaded. In 2022, we recognized the need for an exclusively gluten-free bakery in East Texas. As we worked to attain our required licensing, we realized that there was also a need for a vegan bakery, a dairy free bakery, an egg free bakery, an allergen friendly bakery, a soy free bakery, and even a dye free bakery.

We began softly offering a few of these allergen-friendly goods over the summer of 2022, and by October we had recipes, methods, and an artistic style that we were excited to share and promote. We launched our website in March 2023 and our social media following increases at about a hundred followers per month! Because of you, we are growing!

Each item that we bake is covered with love. Every crumb. Every morsel. Every drop. We deeply care for each order and family we serve because we understand experienced hardships when it comes to food (especially desserts).

At Wildflower Cake Company we recognize allergens can affect personal health, children’s temperament, and “easy” food choices, making the word “dessert” a less than happy one. However, we want our cakes, cupcakes, drizzles, etc. to “put a good taste in your mouth.” We truly desire for you and your loved ones to have your cake and eat it too.

Hello!

We are the faces behind the mixer and in front of the oven. We are also the faces that you see when you receive your order.

  • Co-Owner/Cake Artist

Alyssa started carrying on the family tradition of making birthday cakes for her girls. When her youngest daughter was born, she was diagnosed with dairy colitis, in order to feed the baby, Alyssa had to eliminate dairy from her diet. As the children got a little older, the effects of artificial dyes became apparent. She started Wildflower Cake Company for other parents.

Alyssa holds an Associate’s Degree from TJC in Radio Television Broadcasting and a Bachelor’s Degree from UT Permian Basin in Psychology.
